The right answer to the last poll was ofcourse: Ferrari 408, 85% of the 170 voters had it right!
The 408 was built in 1987 as the first 4 wheel drive Ferrari ever! The concept car had an aluminium chassis that
only weighed 83 kg! The 408 was powered by a 4 litre V8, midengine.
Michael Schumacher was very pleased with the F2004. He drove the first laps yesterday at Fiorano and said that the car felt really good. Today he will also be testing at the homecircuit of Ferrari.
Picture from F1racing.nl.
The new F2004 drove the first laps today at Fiorano, with Michael Schumacher behind the wheel. He drove in 39 laps in total and his fastest lap was 0:56:835.
At the same time Luca Badoer was also testing, but he drove the F2003-GA. He drove a total of 79 laps and was about half a second slower than the German.
Both drivers will also test tomorrow on Fiorano.
A great site by Alex Kustov, ItalianHorses.net. Filled with info about how to built a great (Ferrari) miniature. All with nice and detailed pictures. What about tutorials with info about:
How To Use Flocking to Simulate Interior Carpeting;
How To Use Foil to Enhance Window Trim;
How to Apply, Polish, and Wax Your Paint to Perfection
And the result...well just look at the details of this Enzo...a kit from Tamiya! Isn't it fantastic?
Michael Schumacher was for the second day testing at Valencia yesterday. Again he was working on a test for the tyres, but also some aerodinamic adjustments. Still driving in the F2003GA he was (again) the number two of the day. This time Montoya (1.09.306), in the new Williams, beat the Ferrari (1.09.427) time, but with a really small margin.
Let's say you are one of the lucky ones who ownes a Ferrari Testarossa. A nice black one. You drive it and have lot's of fun. Although...you think it's a bit slow...(?)
So what do you do? You let Norwood Performance add a bit spice to the engine:
Twin Turbo Charged to handle up to 1500 HP currently tuned down to 960 hp+ at Crank - 880 hp+ at Wheels - up to 22 lbs of boost. 200+ MPH on regular 93 octane Chevron pump gas!
And then you say: "This is a sick machine, I'm scared of it, but I get in and spook myself anyway...". And then put it up for sale at Ebay: US $45,803.00
A nice photoalbum on the net...with beautiful pics shot during the Cavallino XIII at the "The Breakers Hotel", Palm Beach, FL at January 24th, 2004. I especially liked this blue Enzo!! Found the link (again...) at FerrariChat.

Saw the picture of a Daytona Estate from the back earlier...but I had never seen it from the front also. Well...what do you have to do when you have a lot of money...ofcourse...eh...
Does anybody have more info about this car? For instance, who built it?
Pics tnx to Prancing_Horse from FerrariChat.com
The single-seater which will contest the 2004 Formula 1 World Championship will be presented at Maranello this morning, monday 26th January, at 11 am (GMT+1).
The event - that will be hosted in the Old Mechanical plant, inside the factory's main premises - will be also this year webcasted in real time video streaming in the FerrariWorld site, reserved for You&Ferrari members!!
Does anybody has any information about this car? All I know is that is a 212 Inter Cabriolet, with a body of the Englisch carbuilder Abbott. This was the only Ferrari he (re)designed. The serialnumber is 0165 EL. It was built in 1952. Supposedly it's now located in Australia (Dutton Sporting Cars?). Does anyone have recent pictures of it??
Ferrari workers rolled out a very special wedding present for their president, Luca di Montezemelo, this, the Ferrari 360 Barchetta. The Barchetta is strictly a one off and now resides in Di Montezemelo's private collection. Tnx to tacoz4sale from FerrariChat.
When Michael Schumacher went back on the track, the first time since the final race last year, he was very happy. "I felt a little bit nervous, but when I finished my first lap everything felt perfect," he told reporters yesterday. "It was a great feeling to be back at the team and back at the track."
Yesterday Michael drove with the car of last year the second best time of the day! Today he's also busy testing at Barcelona.
Today was the first day that Schumacher was back on the track. He did a complete test with the F2003-GA, the car of last year.
He wasn't the fastest in Barcelona, and nobody espected that...I mean, he was driving last years car...so, was he fifth, sixth? Worse? No...he was second!!! Only Button (!) in his BAR was quicker than Michael. Button drove his car in 1.14.607 around the track (he drove 85 laps in total) and Schumachers quickest lap was 1.15.410 (in total he drove 95 laps).
Third was Alonso in the new Renault and only the fourth time was for Ralf Schumacher in the new Williams, with 1.15.736. The fifth time was for Ferrari testdriver Luca Badoer.
Montoya didn't came closer than the seventh time...also in the new Williams!
This year, for the second time running, managers and captains of industry of the top 1000 companies in the world have voted Ferrari the most esteemed Italian company.
The "2004 World's Most Respected Companies" survey, was conducted by the Financial Times and PriceWaterhouse-Coopers.
As a consequence, Ferrari also led the field in the classification of Italian companies, beating off Pirelli, Luxottica, Barilla and Ferrero.
I new that there was a cabrio version of the Testarossa, like you can see at the picture (the yellow car). But the F512M roadster is new for me. Had never seen it before. It doesn't look bad! It kinda looks good, except for the rims...don't like those, but that's my humble opinion. The car is for sale at barrett-jackson.
Okay...then you walk in the middle of nowhere...you are thursty, hungry and tired. So you search for shelter. You see in the distant a farm. Next to the farmhouse is a barn. You want to hide there, so you open the barndoor...and see: this :0

Jean Todt, skiing at the Dolemieten, anounced that everybody would be very supprised about the sight of it. Especially the front wing would make friend and enemy look...The projectname of the car is 655 but what the final name would be is going to be announced at the 26th of January when the car is revealed!
The 612 Scaglietti, the new 2+2 Ferrari. Some think it's ugly, but most (for what I've heared) like it very much. A few months ago the first drawings were published by Ferrari. When people talked about them, you could here one thing: the real car would probably look completely different.
Well...here I've taken part of the drawing of the interior and put it over the real interior...and...it defenitly looks the same!! Well done Ferrari!!
How did he make this...this is what I wonder when I see photographes like this one. And you can see (and buy) many
of these wonderful pictures at Supercarprints. Like they say it thereself:
Whether you're addicted to Aston Martin, fanatical about Ferrari or passionate about Porsche we're certain we've got the perfect shot of your dream car. If not, keep coming back for our regular updates throughout the year.

I made a few weeks (months?) ago also a post about special (one-off) Ferraris. And today I got a link from an old thread at the FerrariChat forum. Lot's of pictures there of very special, strange, fantastic looking or just plain ugly looking Ferraris. Just check it out! :)
Badoer and Barrichello in the snow on a snowboard...having lot's of fun so to see! Barrichelo gives the victory sign...he will be driving for Ferrari at least until 2006! And Micheal Schumacher shows us that he drives not only in Ferraris... :) pictures taken from Formule1.nl.
Barrichello has extended his contract with two years, untill the end of 2006. His last contact ends at the end of 2004. The populair Brazilian is the perfect number two driver who will drive for his team, his teammate...and for himself. Let's hope he can win some races this season!!
Always great stories on Sportcarpros.com and fantastic pictures. Just look at this one...beautiful I think. The story is written by Andrew Cotton and is about Tim Mullen, the 26-year-old from Portadown, Ulster, driver of Team Maranello Concessionaires.

That must be one of the greatest jobs in the world...testdriver of the magazine EVO. What about this test...driving the GTO, F40, F50 and the Enzo...just to figure out what the fastest, best, most fun car would be. That must have been a fantastic day for the driver(s) and the photographer(s)!!
Ferrari anounched that they will reveal there new F1 car at the 26th of January in Maranello. This is earlier then expected and rumours go that they try to get the car ready for the first race at Melbourne. This ofcourse also because of the new engine regulations.
Saw this picture of a F40 on the FerrariChat. It was taken at the weekly meeting at Crystal Cove. I thought it was a lovely sight of the F40 and wanted to post it here too!! picture taken by ewright.
Ferrari has joined forces with the Beta Utensili SpA, a longtime Formula 1 sponsor, which will supply tools and sponsorship for the team for the next three seasons. Beta was previously involved with Ferrari between 1976 and 1982. (see also picture...taken from beta-tools.com)
Testing started this year at Jerez. Badoer and Massa tested three F2003-GAs and did a complete test. They focussed on new electronics and tyres. Both drivers drove 59 laps and Massa was, with a 1:18.996, just a little bit faster than his teammate. But his time was only good for the 6th overall. Montoya also tested his, new, Williams FW26. He drove 51 laps and had the best time: 1.16.699.

Want to see some fantastic high res pictures of the 612 Scaglietti, the new 2+2 Ferrari?? Just follow the link to the Speed.Supercars board. Pics posted by FireRed. But be careful...don't try to get the pics when your not on cable or ADSL...the pics are about 6Mb each (1788x1174 px, 72 dpi)!!!!!
It's not yet officialy released, but Hotwheels/Mattel already finished the 1/18 miniature of it: the 612 Scaglietti. Do you like it? I do...but I have second thoughts about the color...perhaps a darker red...or a blue would be slightly better :) Found the picture on the FerrariChat forum. No more info available at the moment.
(which one would be me? the guy in the 550 or Woody??? :D)
And...how was your New Year?? Did you had fun? Still have all your fingers?? And...did you already drove your Ferrari????
