First Race, First Pole!
This is the best start that Ferrari could wish for. The first row is in their hands. Michael Schumacher starts from pole position
and Rubens Barrichello is second. Third time was for Montoya in his Williams. And friend and enemy were suprised to see Jenson Button on the fourth place.
McLaren wasn't so lucky, tenth and twelfth is all they could manage.
Ross Brawn: " I' m very happy with this result, but we must not forget that all the points will be earned on sunday...not today!"

Ferrari fastest on friday
A full second faster then anybody else...that was the difference on the first day in Melbourne. Schumacher and Barrichello were fastest in the first training and did the same thing in the second session. The gap was a little less than the 1.7 seconds in the first training, but 1 second is also very very much. The third time of the day was for Trulli in the Renault. Then came Button in the BAR. Fifth was again a Renault; Alonso. Williams and McLaren were dissapointed. Ralf Schumacher didn't came further then sixth time and Montoya came behind him, but was more than 1.5 second slower than the Ferrari of Schumacher! Coulthard came eight and ninth was Webber in the Jaguar R5. Raikkonen was even tenth...and that's not the best position for an attack at the champion! We will see what happens yesterday and if the Ferraris are as fast as today!

A new competition!
The Grand Prix Drivers' Association has announced the launch of a new competition aimed at Formula One racing fans.

At this weekend's Australian Grand Prix, six lucky fans will win a money-can't-buy guided tour of the F1 paddock on raceday, during which they will have photo opportunities with several Formula One drivers, including the four Grand Prix Drivers' Association directors: six-time world champion Michael Schumacher, local hero Mark Webber, McLaren's David Coulthard and Renault's Jarno Trulli.
To enter the competition, fans will each have to buy a small pin featuring Mark Webber's helmet - the proceeds of which will go to Brainwave Australia, which assists young people with cancer and is the official charity of the Australian Grand Prix. The pins will be on sale at various points around the Albert Park track, as well as in Federation Square in the centre of Melbourne.
