The rumours go for a long time now. Multiple MotoGP champion Valentino Rossi wants to add two more wheels to his bike and want to win Formula One GPs! And what better team to do that with then Ferrari? Luca di Montezemelo said recently in an interview that Ferrari has indeed interest in Rossi. But he said also that when Rossi makes his final decision to take the step that he has to test a lot, before driving his first real GP. Rossi wants to enter the F1 in 2007.
For the first time since the Chinese GP was Michael Schumacher back behind the wheel of a F1 Ferrari. And he showed all that he hasn't lost the spirit. With a V8 powered Ferrari he was faster than the V10 drivers Massa, Montagny en Kovalainen. And that made him the fastest of the day! In total he drove 67 laps with 01:18.953 as fastest time. Badoer has crashed today very hard at the Jerez circuit. During the second day of testing Badoer went of the track at the last corner. He hit the tyres at high speed. The car was badly damaged, but Badoer could get out of the car on his own. He did have trouble walking. He has been taken by ambulance for a medical check-up. He's not been expected to come into action anymore today. At the moment of the crash he had the fastest time of the day. Source: F1Racing.net
It seems that Vodafone is about to break their contract with Ferrari. The telecom company already did that with Manchester United. They still have a contact for one year with Ferrari, but due to the poor performance of the team last year, they are now willing to break the contract and stop as soon as possible. Rumours go that they want to sponsor Honda next season.
