VICTORY! |
|
| |
Yes, the strategy worked out fine, the race went well. First victory for Massa this year. With a good race also for Kimi who became third again. Also again a good race for Hamilton who defeted his teammate Alonso. Hamilton second, Alonso 'only' fifth. |

Pole doesn't mean victory... |
|
| |
The start, Massa was fast, but...Alonso faster. And Raikkonen lost his place to Hamilton, who, he has his raceheart on the right place, also overtook Massa. It was obvious, the Ferraris were faster then Hamilton, who drove probably a little bit slower then he could, to gave Alonso the better change to victory. But Massa tried, and tried... and lost. He spun of and came back as fifth. That's where he stayed for most of the race. Raikonnen couldn't attack Hamilton like Massa did, and the gap between them got bigger and bigger. After the last pitstop the pace of the Ferraris went better. They were atleast 0,5 seconds faster per lap on the hard tyre then the McLarens. But faster is one thing, overtake is another. In the end, it just stayed the way it was. Victory for Alonso, a one-two for McLaren with Hamilton as second. Third Kimi Raikkonen, fourth Heidfeld (BMW), fifth Massa. A dissapointment, next GP Bahrein, we will see what happens then! |

Massa on pole |
|
| |
In the third 'heat' Massa managed to take the pole for the Malesian GP. With 1.35.043 he was three seconds faster then the man on second; Alonso. Kimi Raikkonen took the third place. He's followed by Hamilton. Again Ferrari and McLaren are the strongest teams. Long time Alonso was fastest, but in the end Massa managed to beat his time. Slowest team of the qualification is Spyker. Albers is forlast and Sutil last with 1.38.415. |
