Formula one is boring, that was my opinion after the GP of Monaco. But after the last GP I have to change that. Formula one is only boring in Monaco, it's a complete different story in Canada. This was excitement.
Let's start with the finish; it's the first victory for Hamilton. Don't forget that is was only his sixth race!!! He's just a rookie, but one who can become a WorldChampion and perhaps already this year!
Then there was the crash of Kubica. Fortunately he's okay. The savety of the cars are improved dramaticly. But what a crash it was. Unbelievable.
Then ofcourse the 10 seconds penalty for Alonso. He went in the pitlane while it was closed. Stupid, but because of the multiple savety car situations he recovered well.
And then there were black-flags for Massa and Fisichella. Black flags?? That didn't happened for years and years. The got it for driving OUT of the pitlane while it was still red light. More a team-error in my opinion than a drivers error.
But all in all... a great race. Let's hope the same excitement, without the huge accident, will happen next week! |
