First GP win for Kovalainen |

Only three laps to go for Massa. He was leading the race after a fantastic move in the first corner, overtaking Kovalainen and Hamilton. He was sure of the victory. He was going to take the lead in the Championship after Hamilton had a flat tyre, driving in sixth place. But that went all up in smoke when he blew the engine. That was for Kovalainen fantastic, because he could win the race, his first win ever. Timo Glock in his Toyota became second, his first podium! Raikkonen came in third, taking home some important points and overtaking Massa in the Championship. |

This morning, 08.15, the topman of Pininfarina; Andrea Pininfarina, died in a traffic accident in Trofarello, near Turin. The 51-year old Pininfarina crashed with his Vespa scooter into a car. According to police at the scene, the dynamics of the accident were clear: without seeing the approaching vehicle, a car pulled directly in front of Mr. Pininfarina's scooter, which hit the car head-on.
